AquaBlanc Active Oxygen 20g Tablets
Active Oxygen is a gentle, odour-less alternative to the traditional method of disinfecting your Hot Tub or Spa water with chlorine or bromine.
AquaBlanc Non-Chlorine, Active Oxygen Treatment is a 2-step system for domestic hot tubs and spas:
- The A Combination Liquid contains a bacteriorstatic formula which is a substance that prevents the multiplying of bacteria.
- The O2 Tablets contain dry peroxide which is a fast acting sanitiser that destroys bacteria.
The combination of dry peroxide (O2 tablets) and a bacteriorstat (A combination Liquid) ensures hot water is controlled effectively. The system is best described as a "ratchet" system, as O2 tablets will eliminate bacteria build-up (Zap) whilst A Combination Liquid will prevent rapid build-up by reducing multiplication of bacteria.
Dosing Aquablanc O2 Tablets/ A Combination Liquid:
The Active O2 system is a dual action system requiring a weekly dose (or weekly top up) with A Combination Liquid, combined with O2 Tablets dosing via appropriate floating dispenser prior to bathing (or otherwise weekly). Add the A combination liquid direct to the spa whilst the circulation system is running. Add the O2 tablets via a floating dispenser prior to bathing (or weekly otherwise).
A Combination Liquid Dosing (per 1,500 ltr) - Initial Dose of 60ml, Weekly Dose of 15ml
Active O2 Tablets Dosing (per 1,500 ltr) - Initial Dose of 2 tablets, Prior to spa use or weekly of 1 Tablet
Quick dissolving AquaBlanc O2 tablets in combination with AquaBlanc A Combination Liquid will help produce crystal clear water.
Converting to AquaBlanc Active O2:
On refilling a hot tub/spa, first shock treat with chlorine or Spa Fusion to 5 – 10 ppm, and allow chlorine levels to fall to 5 mg/l (ppm) or below prior to commencing with the Active O2 system.
